Jim Schultz Speaks at the 2010 Financing Farm to Fork Conference
EFFINGHAM, IL, MARCH 17, 2010 – Jim Schultz, the Managing Partner of Open Prairie Ventures, was a featured speaker at the 2010 Financing Farm to Fork Conference. The conference was developed in conjunction with the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business and brought together financiers and entrepreneurs from across the country to discuss how to attract investment capital and other financing sources for food and agriculture related businesses.
Schultz presented observations and experiences from his 20 plus years as an entrepreneur and shared lessons learned from his family seed-business for the panel discussion on Financing Food Businesses. He also provided insights to the successes achieved within the Open Prairie Ventures family of funds and creative solutions to overcoming the challenges of raising capital in the current economic environment.
